5.15.2014 LA Happenings: LACMA X Journey of A Dress

DVF Journey of a Dress exhibit at the LACMA

It took a while getting there but I finally got the chance to check out the Journey of a Dress exhibit at the LACMA. The exhibit, which was created in celebration of Diane's 40 years of the classic "Wrap Dress", included personal images, press clippings, artwork, and a collection of some of her most epic designs. True to DVF style, each room was filled with the bold patterns and pops of color that has made her a icon in the fashion industry. While walking into the last room I noticed that no two dress were ever alike. Each appealed to a different woman, girl, occasion, body type, and personality., while still staying true to the wrap dress signature design.
